Both are adjustable with the tool provided in the kit. After adjust, the lock ring double-nuts it in place. They seem to work pretty good on my Dyna.

Only one is adjustable. I guess they figure the swingarm is rigid enough to resist twisting.

The premium cartridge forks are the same way. But then, so are Progressives so I guess it works.

One is for recoil, one is for dampening.

The adjustable one is for dampening, the right side, is pre set for recoil as far as I know.

Took a little experimenting to figure out the proper settings for different situations, but they work great for me.

They are one of the best things I've purchased, the ride is awesome once you figure out where to set them.

The adjustable one, mounted on the left, adjusts the preload, not the dampening.

You referring to Progressive monotubes? They have 2 gas charged "shocks" that replace the internals of the forks.

No, only one gas charged tube. The other is a progressive wound spring.
