Purple PM tips

Anyone else have Performance Machine exhaust tips that are supposed to be black but after about 5 weeks they appear to be a shade of purple? I have heard of this happening with Rineharts and I'm wondering WTF!

.....by the way they are on a 2013 SG with V&H Monster Rounds with a decatted head pipe

I would reach out to PM for replacement tips. If they won't play, I would buy some bar-b-que grill paint, and get them black again.

It's because they're anodized. Anodizing fades big time. They should be powder coated. I've seen the older 3 1/2" Rinehart's do that but my 4" never did. I think Riney got smart and coated the new ones. If they won't work with you and you really dig the tips, send them out and have them powder coated.

This all depends on the anodize. PM will ask you to send them back for inspection and if determined a warranty issue will send you new ones. You need to talk to the place you bought the parts from and have them get an RMA number.
