First thing I noticed was my legs itching from the air blowing over them at 75mph. I was also a little nervous from all the bee stories I've read from here.
every once in a while I will putt around the block after washing the bike, usually with no windshield either. Feels very odd and that pavement looks like a huge hot grinding wheel to me !!
I rode in shorts a few times when i had my rocket, First time i did it on my HD was about a month ago, i was just going to drop my bike off. A buddy of mine showed up for a long weekend ride in shorts, which is what got me thinking about doing it. I didn't feel comfortable at all and i sure noticed the heat from the engine a lot more than normal. Not that i would never do it again but i won't be doing any trips like that.
Well if it is any consolation.. Jeans offer just about zero protection in a fall.. I think the number I saw was about 30 inches of asphalt brings up blood..
