It sounds like someone tried to unscrew it first without taking the little clip off. Had that happen to a buddy and he brought it over here so I would help. We ended up using a jeweler's file to clean it up and and get it out with light tapping from a punch. We then replaced it and the clip.
Yeah I am wondering if that happened, can definitely see how it could happen if that occurred. Amazon is delivering me some jewelers files tonight so will get to work on it and hope this works.
On a side note it seems like every dealership in Texas minus some in south Texas are sold and back-ordered on the pin and clip sets. So had to order some Drag Specialties ones from a seller on eBay or else wait at least 2 weeks.

That's the one they are out of, everywhere minus Victoria is back-ordered. So had to get the Drag Specialties ones or wait a few weeks to finish this job.
I have four complete sets sitting on the shelf. If you need the pin or the whole brake kit, let me know and I'll send it to you and you can just send me the cost or send me a kit from HD. Just let me know.
ETA, just realized you are in Fort Worth. What part of FTW? I can bring a complete brake kit by if needed. I know it sucks to be down.

It will be ok man, I have the two sets from Drag Specialties coming on Saturday. Doubt I will have time to ride before then anyways so it is probably a blessing in disguise with the amount of housework I have to do tonight and tomorrow.
Thanks though man! If for some reason I need them will PM you.
Ok I have filed it down big time and it still just turns but won't come out. Anybody have a great idea on how to cut it out or some other way to remove the pin?
Can you take a punch and tap it out from the rear/inside of the caliper. I just looked at my front caliper and it looks like the end of the pin goes thru the caliper. If you insert a punch thru the hole the pin goes into would you be able to tap the pin out being careful not to damage the threaded area of the caliper?

+1 on helping it out from the back side. Make sure it is smaller than the pin to keep from damaging it
My front right pin did the same thing with the left coming out easily. I ended up taking the caliper apart to get the pin to come out. Not a favorable alternative but I couldn't risk damaging the caliper housing trying to tap out the pin.

That's what I am afraid I am going to have to do. I took the caliper off and took all of the fluid out of the system last night. Going to bring it by my indy to see if he can get it, if not going to have to tear it apart. Did you use the rebuild kit on yours when you took it all apart?
