I go out to the hills in March and September, as well as during the rally. I ride the hills early and late, to many folks in August.

Yep. My wife and I and two other couples just got back from there yesterday. Stayed at the Deadwood KOA. Visited all the places in your pics, had a awesome time. 3300 miles from door to door in 10 days. Decent number of vendors set up, no crowds. You guys have fun at the rally. Going to be a parking lot with that many people. Be safe!
