I struggled with putting one on mine because I love the look of the Custom with just the bars and no shield. But being 6'3" all torso I'm miserable without some kind of shield. I have the stock shield but find I end up using the batwing all the time.
If I had it to do over I might go with the Reckless, but I already had the Memphis Shades Batwing from my Suzuki C50, and its the same part # for the Road King, just different brackets.

Default Fairing For Road King

I'm pretty sure I'm going with a Woody's fairing. Been talking back and forth with Glenn and he has been answering all my questions. Originally was going with Reckless, but I've been swayed by Glenn's customer service and I haven't bought a thing from him. Going to call when I get back from vacation and order.

No, you cannot go wrong with Woody's Fairings' service or quality.

However, the only thing I'll say is it is pretty tight in there and there isn't a lot of real estate for an amp, etc. About the only thing I could make fit in there was a mechless (no cd) head unit (not one of the oddball brand marine ones, but a standard car audio one) and a small Alpine amp (not a ton of power) if you opt to go with Glenn's standard flip up door.

If you choose another type of door where the rain cover flips down OUTSIDE the fairing, you have more room to put something on top of the HU. SPeaker choices appeared to be a bit limited, too...not a lot of room for crossovers and such.

If Shakrr's picture on page three is a Dragonfly....that thing has acres of room for an amp, etc.
