And to you and all the others helping their children with the expenses of college and having to make personal sacrifices to do it, my hats off to you. You know what parenting and family is all about.
congrats on the ride, but i have to ask, what does "had to pay for daughters college" mean exactly?
Dude...if you have to ask, and you have a couple daughters, you're in BIG trouble!!
I paid for a wife, a stepson (partially), and two daughters so far and have another daughter about to start college. Luckily I make enough that I can still have some of my toys.
But I definitely understand how someone would have to sell his bike in order to do it. It sucks...but you gotta do what you gotta do. Good on ya for doing what needed to be done. It's called being a man. And it doesn't happen as often as it should.
Another update. 7 months after getting back in the saddle, I've added more stuff including handlebars, and best of all i was able to pay off the bike in full! And managed to snag some vacation time and rode the bike from NY to Daytona for bike week. Life is good.
