i got it fellas. it was the ignition fuse. ive never been so glad to blow a fuse. thanks for your time.

Common complaint after installing bars or chrome switch housings, very common that when putting the swtches back on the wires get pinched, and either cut or shorted where they go between the housing and the bar. Before pulling the headlight nacells or anything else, check your fuses. If one is blown, you most likely pinched a wire.

If you didn't pull the nacelle then when pulling the controls, there is a slight possibility that you tugged on the wires; or something is not kosher with the Engine Run switch.. I'd check those first; then move into the nacelle to verify that nothing was pulled loose by accident!

P.S. Using the MultiMeter would figure this out as well..
