Sorry for the moron question but I need help with a minor leak. I have a 2013 FLHR with stage 1. It has about 6k on it. No problems until Spring when I took out a small mailbox. Shop guys inspected it and I replaced the front fender, engine guard, and the left bag. I've ridden it a lot since but most have been short rides to work. No problems.
I noticed a small spot in the garage yesterday. First one. A few days ago I put a couple of hundred miles on it. The most since the mailbox. When I finished a 50 mile ride yesterday (it's Georgia BTW, and hot) I parked it and noticed a drop of fluid (oil?) on the bolt in the attached picture. There was also some oil+dirt mix on the bottom of the pan behind it. This is at the front end of the bike.
Can somebody tell me what I am seeing in the picture? What is that bolt? What sort of fluid could it be?
Did you have the oil & filter change recently. I think the bolt that is shown is a front motor mount bolt. If the oil filter was changed recently, oil may have dropped on the mount when the old filter was removed. If no oil change then I would look closely at the oil cooler and the hoses connected to it for possible damage from the mailbox adventure.

No oil change in over a year. I'll get the cooler checked.
Do you have any more pictures so we can see more areas where the oil is? I'd recommend first taking a good degreaser (AMSOIL makes one), spray the area good, let it sit for a few minutes, rinse with low pressure water, blow dry off. After running it, you might be able to get a better idea seeing fresh oil from the leak to give you a better idea where it's coming from.
