I think the chopped TP looks good on any touring bike. Here's my setup on the King.

As mentioned already, you'll have to consider how it's used. I ride mostly solo, and when the wife rides along, it's plenty for the two of us. Also it's more comfy as a back rest. Really long trips and she takes the plane.

For you're SGS, I would get the hidden antenna for convenience and a cleaner look. As mentioned, HD doesn't really have light kits for the chopped TP, although you can probably rig one up. Aftermarkets might have better choices. I recommend the quick detach. I like to strip down my King for around town cruising or make it fully dressed for long trips.

I use a shorty antenna, I could not find enough postive information on any of the hidden antennas to justify the price.

I run with a king tour pack, and added plasma rods instead of adding lights to the tour pack.
At the time of my TP purchase Manchester Harley Super Store was the best price.
