Some bikes like some oils better then others...try a brand and see if your machine behaves the way you want. If not, try another brand.

I just switched to redline in all 3 holes. Have only run it once but it seems a bit quieter

Formula plus or Valvoline cheap stuff formulated for wet clutch is my choice for optimum clutch engage or disengage function.

SafetyMan, forgive my ignorance, but what does "UOA" stand for?

Default Best Primary Fluid?

Spectro 75-140 6 speed in the tranny. Great stuff for 6 speeds.

Shell rotella t primary. A third of the price and its good as anything else.

Motor, 20-50. They all work.

Used oil analysis.

I have a good friend who is **** about catching a sample and sending it in.

He ran Amsoil 20w50 Vtwin forever, and sent in for analysis every time. After 30k miles or so, he tried Mobil1 20w50 Vtwin, and his analysis came back better, so he continued to use it.

He convinced me through his footwork to change to Mobil1.

Not saying Amsoil is bad at all, because it is a very good product. M1 is easier for me to get and usually cheaper. Just ordered 2 cases from Pep Boys on sale for like 7.30-something a quart.

As others have said, as long as you're running a quality oil, and are vigilant on service intervals, you can't really go wrong.

I choose to run what I believe is the best.

...and FWIW...

I've spent over $34,000 to date on my Limited, not counting gas and oil.....

A few extra bucks to run the fluid of my choice in the primary really isn't hurting me that bad.
