Formula+ is all you need in the primary. I have used Mobil1 and didn't notice any difference.

For the primary, Mobil 1 4t racing 10/40. It's right next to the M1 20/50 at Walmart.

best primary oil??? I use Rotella T in mine, however if you'll check the top of the page in the left corner you'll see a tab that says harley davidson forums, click on that then scroll down to the oil and oil related tab, you'll find a sticky there thatt says What Primary Oil, it has 450 some posts all the opinons you could ever want.

HD Formula+ in the primary for now.

When my stash of that runs out, I'll run Rotellla in the primary since I've got an even bigger stash of it for the tractor and FJR.

Been using the Lucas and have no complaints. But I didn't have any complaints with the Drag, Rotella, or Formula+ I've used previously.

Just happened to get a good deal on a case of the Lucas.

Like has been said, use good oil and change by manufactures recommendation. I have been a Redline user for many years and have been completely satisfied. Racers Wholesale has been my go to supplier for Redline products and Redline has a PowerPack which has everything you need for a complete oil change, minus the oil filter plus free shipping. They sell K&N filters or go to HD

Formula+ in my bagger primaries, the (hydraulic) clutch and the compensator seem to like it.

I asked Alto Clutches (going to try some of their Carbonite plates in the '09 SERG 117/DD7) what their preference was as far as Primary fluid, "Anything but Drag (fluid)"
