Years ago I removed the rear intercom plug stuff and tucked it away next to the battery. Now I want to put it back in place to start using headsets, and I can't remember how the spring and wire run.
It's on my 2005 Ultra Classic.
Can anyone post a picture showing how the spring runs and how the wire runs?
I already have the clip on the bottom of the speaker pod, and I have the wire back to the area......but the spring and stiff part of the wire is holding me up.
Can not find a picture but if memory serves the harness ran just under the seat along with the tour pak harness. The rigid covering holds the harness in a loop, the spring goes from the eyelet on hard cover over to the opposite side in a small hole in licence plate backing plate.
Maybe this will help. I tried to find a picture but no luck. I remember the headset cable passing thru a plastic bracket and there was a spring that retracted the cable into the bracket. IIRC the spring connected from the cable back to the license plate bracket.
I found all the parts needed, just that the wire and spring seem to be out of place. It's been about 8 years since I removed it all for a cleaner look, so I can't remember how it all "sits".
