Unless I'm totally wrong......my understanding is.....if you're putting CD LED's in just the front or rear, in other words just 2 signals and not 4, the a load equalizer is NOT needed, but if you run both , front AND rear, then a load equalizer IS needed.

I just bought front and rear, guess I need to order an equalizer. I was under the impression I didn't need one after reading their site.

Another clarification. The 2014-15's will NOT need the equalizer with front and rear turns but the older models WILL if you're planning on using four LED's. Hope that's not confusing, but after a lot of studying and a call to Custom Dynamics that's what I have come up with.

I have front and rear on a '12 and I needed the equalizer. Had the hyper blinker at first, but the load equalizer did its thing. I use clears in the front and my red lenses in the back. Everyone says they are super bright and noticeable. As for the rear, they are so bright I've been accused of riding the brake. Until, of course, I apply the brake.

As an aside, the farther away you are, the brighter they seem. Walk back about 30 feet and you will be amazed at how bright they are, and anything reflective at night shines. I have noticed the eyes of small animals on the side of the road.

99% of the time, 2013 and earlier will need an equalizer. 2014 and up don't.
I use the clear lens. I will post a picture of 1 clear lens and 1 smoked lens so you can see the difference. Incidentally, I have a Custom Dynamics load equalizer for sale in the classifieds, for about half the price of a new one.
(Shameless Plug).

I use the grey lens up front turn signals. I use Namz Hot Box lighting module for my TopShop rear fender that uses LED's. Very bright run Daymaker Halo headlight up front.

Put them on my 2015 Limited.....Clear lenses.
Don't forget to put on your 4 way flashers for approx. 5 minutes after install so they can synch or you may get a code....
Ride safe!

I run clear lenses for my CD Ringz. Match my headlight better. Its weird, sometimes the red key light indicator comes on and the directional flash super fast and sometimes it doesn't come on at all. I do have the CVO leds in the back so Im assuming I should get an equalizer at some point. Sorry I don't mean to jack your thread op, but anyone got any recommendations for a reasonable priced plug and play equalizer?

I ordered the ringz and sent them back. Not that I didn't like them...they were bright and worked perfectly. My problem was that I didn't like the different color of white compared to my headlight, 2014 Dual Halogen. If you have an LED headlight they would look good but they didn't match up well with the white of the Halogen.....so I just got a regular amber set....and love them!
