So I took advantage of the deals going on right now with the 16's coming out and traded in my '12 FXDWG for a '15 SGS (Black Denim), I got a good deal that I am happy with and very excited about the bike. Being 5'6" I was worried about the size and extra weight but once it gets rolling the bike handles WAYYY better than my Wide Glide. Still geting used to it and look forward to making it mine. Just a warning right now I am super new to the touring platform and will most definately have some newb questions in the near future.
Welcome to the Touring side. Since your new bike is a Rushmore you may want to go to Rushmore section also. Much more Rushmore related information over there then here.

I upgraded from an 09 Nightster and couldn't be happier w/ mine. Rides way better than my Nightster did too. I'm 5'7" and getting used to the extra 200 or so lbs. I'm fine as long as I'm not on a hill.
Congrats on the new bike and love your excitement!
Don't worry about the size/weight. I'm a 5'6" female, 115 pounds, and have only ridden a few years (no dirt bikes or anything WIWAK), upgraded from a Suzuki C50.
SG's handle great, as you've noted. Thanks for your service and enjoy your new ride!
