Fingers crossed. Replaced the voltage regulator. Weather isn't cooperating for a real ride to test, but it was fine for 20 miles.

Good deal. Once I replaced mine, I didn't look back. That was 7000 miles ago.

Almost hate to post an update for fear of jinxing myself...

The kill switch failed after replacing the voltage regulator. I've put about 1,500 miles on the bike since replacing the voltage regulator and the kill switch out of necessity and the battery as a precaution. She's running great. Thanks to all who helped me out.

Now for the new tires and the 15K. Does it ever end? I guess HD really does stand for Hundreds of Dollars...
