Default Power Commander V Map help

Bought a used PCV and was wondering if anyone had a good canned map for a 2012 Road King w/ 103? All bike has right now is Rinehart 3.5" slip ons. Plan to get air cleaner and decat in the future but would like to run it for now with just the slip ons.

I had a 2012 Ultra Limited and started out with a PC-V and Rinehard 4" slip-ons. Never did get much out of the bike no matter what MAP I used, or how much custom tuning I did on the MAPS that I tried.

I did find a couple of on-line MAPS that worked quite well, but I just went and looked for them and those files have been deleted, sorry.

I will say this when it comes to tuning a 2012 103, that gutting out or replacing the CAT is a BIG wake up call for that engine. I was not able to get good results until that move was made, then things really started to come around nicely tuning with the PC-V.

I ended up going with a PV tuner the last year I owned the bike, and also removed the gutted out CAT and went to a V & H "X" pipe. Between the better down pipes and PV tuner I was able to improve fuel economy to the mid 40's. Never could get much past 38-39mpgs with the PC-V, but had no problem at all making decent power with it.......Cliff

Yeah I've looked at the dynojet website but the only map for a 103 w/ stock Intake is for freedom performance slip-on. Just seeing if anyone had anything better?

Plan to decat and add air cleaner over the winter for sure

If you bought the PCV from Fuel Moto you'd have free lifetime maps for any change you ever made. This is a huge value add and would negate any cheaper pricing IMO.

I would run that map. You just want to add a little fuel. I would also compare that map with the 103, hi flo ac and stock exhaust (I downloaded that map) just to see how different they are. After experimenting with PC's and talking with FM in the past, working with them to get a PC to perform better, maps are not that complicated or anything to be afraid of.

Gang, what's the difference between buying the device from fuel moto and having free lifetime of maps vs. downloading the maps directly from dynojet? Regardless the source, aren't you getting free maps?

Not much difference other than the fact that Fuelmoto will have a ton more maps in tons of combinations.

Interestingly enough, a good bit of the maps on the dynojet website are actually maps Fuelmoto provided them - partnership.

Fuelmoto will also provides a two year warranty and tech support, but dynojet will provide tech support as well if you call them.

My personal experience with Fuel Moto is they will take collected logs and modify a existing map which is above and beyond a downloaded map from DynoJet IMO. Fuel Moto's map database is vast and I expect has far more depth than DynoJets for Harley's anyways.

Guys, thanks for the quick response. I'm getting ready to change my exhaust to CFR's and V&H power duals. For this combo (along with my current SE air filter)I plan on going with the Commander V. My only question is, does it matter where I purchase it?

Thanks
