I had my battery disconnected. after reconnecting it and took it for a ride, I noticed the security light is on now. It never has been before...cause my bike dont even have the security system. Also, my turn signals blink normal for 4 blinks, then they go really fast like a bulb is burned out. Except I dont have bulbs. I have LED's from Custom Dynamics. What gives?
turn the ignition on. turn on and off the emergency flashers. dont switch the bike off with the emergency flashers on cus they get stuck in dumb. should be cleared.
It was easy ?
The tech at the shop told me how to fix that and it did work. Hope it workds for you.
I have CD led turn signals/bullet ringz on my 2011 RK. I also have the load equalizer from them as well. Occasionally I will get a red key light and the code for an open left or right turn signal. I think the load equalizer doesn't create the same load as the stock bulbs. For the added visibility I'll take the occasional DTC.
Pull the DTC, my guess is you'll have an open on one or both of the turn signals. 1121 and 1122 I think.

Sorry, but could u explain that to me like I'm a 6 year old? I'm not sure what u mean by DTC.
I tried the emergency flasher method, but it didn't help.
Thanks a lot for posting this info we can all benefit from.
I printed it out and placed on the bike to have on hand in case it acts up on the road someday which could help locate the problem to be fixed getting me back on the road again.
Thank you all for the replies. I found the issue though. It was the Pos and the ground wires for the LED's! They fell down between the battery box and the frame and I missed them. I dont know what that has to do with the security indicator, but it took care of that too. Thanks for the help!

Turn signals and security are related. a bike without security has a TSM (turn signal module), to add security you replace the TSM with a TSSM/HFSM (Turn Signal Security module/Hands Free Security Module). An issue with turn signals can trip the module to illuminate the red key.
