this my second set of monotubes, had them in my 09 sg lowered 2 inches road great.took them out to put in my 11 rg and there was a plastic piece broke, so sent them in to progressive to fix and they sent me a new pair stateing the old ones had problems. installed in new bike lowered 1 inch by a hd technician that had installed the first ones did these an immediatly said these road like crap with the 3 clips they recomend, and they are very stiff and clunk at times. so my question is what effect does removing clips do (stiffness and ride height)
