I just ordered my freedom shield from John. Excellent communication from him and help figuring out my size. I'm 6'1 with about 31in inseam and he recommended the 9in. Anyone have the 9in on their bike? I'd love to hear feedback and see photos. I was a little worried it would be to tall and mess up the look of my scoot. I'm glad I can test it out and send it back for a shorter one if need be.
I have the 8" on mine. I'm 6'5" with a 34" inseam. It works good for me. I'm looking into getting a 10-12" for touring distances, but the 8" works well for me riding up to 350 miles.
I have the 8" dark tint on my 2013 FLHTK. I am 5'10" and look over the windshield. It works great at that height, although I do get hit by the occasional bug or rock, and rain and hail do sting.

I'm of same stature...have the 9in as well on 15 FLHXS....perfect!
I just got back from a ride to Colorado over the holiday weekend and since I was going to be close by Freedom Shields in Pine I would call and order a shield for my RG and pick it up while I was there. It was a beautiful ride from Denver. John was a genuinely nice guy and took my friends and I on a quick tour of his facility. He came out and installed my 13" shield and I took it for a quick test ride and Wow, what a difference! I had been riding with a 12.5" Windsplitter since buying the bike and it did OK but there's no comparison between it and the Freedom Shield. It is thicker than the Harley shield and is very solid. I hope I never get to test it but I feel confident that if something more substantial than a large bug pops up and comes flying my way that this shield will handle it. I have put about 600 miles on this shield since Saturday and am very happy with it. If you are in the Denver area stop by and see John but make sure to call him a few days in advance and order a Freedom Shield! Below is a pic of my 13" shield at Johns shop.
