Tman 555torqster. If I can't do the compression on the cheap and have to go to a piston change. I may as well swing a larger cam in there while I'm at it. Maybe even a 110" deal.

I'm caught up in a crossroad?

This is it. I can't afford to play games.

Joe: That's why I'd just push back from the work bench if I were you, and sort it all out slowly, over time. Don't rush into this sort of thing. There's never a shortage on good deals; the shortage is always in money.....for most of us.

I'm there with you, Jim.

Yesterday was our last day of warm weather (85), 60-70 rest of the month and plunging. My attention will. Soon turn to winter sports.

Again, picking the forums brain, looking for inherent problems. So I'll sound somewhat intelligent when I seek a builder. Lol!

Preparing for spring at this point. Gather info, talk to builder, gather parts and get it done.

I'll be watching this thread as well. I'm pretty much in the same boat. I want a bump in compression to go with the 777's I installed last winter but I don't really care to go to a larger bore. Just want what I have to work at its best but in the most reliable way.

2010 Limited with some stuff

Pretty sure the 777's like 10.5 to 1. To be honest, the bump in compression might not be worth the cost of admission???

Hopefully we get some more feedback. Really hate spending the money to pull the heads, jugs etc to do a piston swap. With labor who knows???? To pick up very minimum power. I know I'll be sorry.....lol!

I wish I liked going for walks......it would be a lot cheaper!......lol!

Milled heads move slightly closer to each other so the intake manifold should be shaved to make it fit w/o leaks.

If you can't get 10.25, what can you get? Then pick a cam that works with that ratio...
