Do you have the large "ka-pow!", metal on metal sound when the bike starts?
That is typical of the 07-10 compensator and ok, but if you hear a lighter ka-pow when you shut the bike off or feel a bunch of drive line slack while riding the compensator or comp springs have probably failed.
Like mentioned in a post above, a faulty compensator will make the bike harder to start and it def will do it once it's hot.
There's no noticeable noise on startup or shut down. It's the 4-5 seconds of turning before it fires off that seems to be the issue. Looking for what would cause such a hesitation in the firing process I guess. I'll call the mech today and ask about the comp but I'm pretty sure he said that was a go. Thanks for the input.

If you are saying it will turn over 4-5 times before it starts, yeah the comp would not do that typically.
