That's crazy!!! How long was your bike left parked? Were they locked?
In a supposedly secure parking garage next to well traveled steps and an elevator. Yes they were locked. The Thief left behind my glasses, gloves and helmet to get home safely? Whats that sound like?

That sucks man, sorry you had that happen to you. There are a lot of options out there for stretched bags. Buy by the time you factor in lids and hardware, the Harley option might be the cheapest and easiest.
I have Dirty Bird 4" stretched bags with matching rear fender. Just the bags (no lids), fender, license plate bracket, and tail lights were right around $2K before paint. Add another $500-750 for paint. Very pricey, but great quality and I have zero regrets.
Just some info for you to help make your decision. Good luck.
Wow, your bags were stolen... I have no words, just Wow. Some *****-bag is collecting bad karma in a big way. That sucks big time.
Craig's list, e-bay, your local cycle shop. Or look at it as a good thing. Now you have good reason to upgrade. You were going to do it anyways - right?
First of all I want to thank everyone that chimed in and guided me through the transition. I went with the CVO bags form V-twin. They turned out great. A big thanks to Scott at Riff Raff customers in Danville for the paint job.
I have a set of stock bags that I will sell you cheap. These are bags and lids without the hardware. They are candy orange and the right bag has some scratches but no structural damage. Figure $350 for the two bags if you want them. Let me know and I'll take some pics. Shipping to Livermore is probably about $50 more. Feel free to call the shop as well.
