I have the Neotec and it's a pretty nice helmet. However, the cheek pads it comes with apply a bit too much pressure to my face, so I had to order the thin ones. They're way overpriced and for the price of the helmet it is annoying. Also, the speaker "pockets" in the Neotec were too shallow / small for the Harley headset, so I had to enlist the aid of my x-acto to remove a little of the plastic around the pocket. Once installed, I can't feel the speakers against my ear at all, but it took a little surgery to get them in there.

Same here, but I don't wear it when it's extra hot outside.
If your Shoei fits, you should expect the Neotec to fit also.
Shop around, The price varies greatly.
Also, They make different size liners to make the helmet fit better if you find yourself between sizes - like I was.

Another vote for the Nolan 104 but you need to find the helmet that fits your head. I tried 4 or 5 different brands before I found the Nolan fits the best on my head.

Handsdown the best fit and comfort there is! Of course it all depends on the shape of your head. Schubberth and Shoei neotechs fit Oval types. Ive had the syncro tec, multi tech, and went to the Schuberth. I got mine online for $540 to my door, but its Europpean stds, not DOT. But they have higher standerds. Only issue I saw on a 1600 mile trip is Oaklys with rubber arms pinch on my ears after a while, for that I will go wire frame, but you dont need glasses it has a flip down sunscreen. If you wear a modular you will not be disappointed with a Shuberth C3Pro is the latest and greatest. Good luck.

a third vote for the Nolan n104. It's gotten a little louder over the years, but i really like the built in coms

but ike others have said, you really have to try them on. the Neotec and C3 are quality helmets.. i tried all three before i chose the Nolan. Revzilla has a pretty easy return policy for trying stuff on. i think they charge like $8 per return which was reasonable to me

and for God's sake, don't buy the Harley modular helmet. If you think you really need one, let me know, I'll sell you mine. But it's a noisy piece of crap.

I have the Neotec and absolutely love it. However, it does get a little warm above 90 or so. i like it especially for cold weather, rain and those days that are going to be especially bright. i too found it a bummer that the speaker recesses are so shallow. i had thought about getting out my dremel and trimming out a hole. glad to hear it worked. i've really heard good things about the shark too. check out revzilla they have some on line reviews and comparisons and you can return if you don't like it or happen to get the wrong size.

I'm a big fan of my HJC IS-MAX II helmet. It comes with a Pinlock-prepared visor to help prevent fogging once you install the Pinlock shield. I have it set up with my Sena SMH-10 and no one knows I'm on the bike (even with my Slim's loud V&H pipes) with the chin bar down. The sunshield is great as well; you can position it where you want it (a little higher or lower) and push a button to retract.

Haven't had a ton of issues with wind, even at high speeds; HJC manufactures HD helmets and without the HD branding, you save boku bucks. I bought mine through Cycle Gear.

Same here. Most comfortable helmet I have ever worn. Took about 1000 miles to get it broke in though.
