I tried several, I now wear a Shoei RJ Platinum 3/4 , I have a visor I can pop on if I am in the rain or when it gets cold...Its quiet and comfortable.
I ordered a N44 Nolan I think,, the Trilogy and it was louder that my 3/4 and I didn't like the fit.
Each head , bike style and situation makes for a different experience.
I don't think that paying hundreds of dollars more for a helmet more than another will make it better than a less expensive one, not worse, but not necessarily much better.
I feel safe wearing my Fulmer M1 and until I try one on gat fit better and is more comfortable than it I won't drop tons if money on one.
Plus I don't ride as much as I use to so that factors into my decision.
My personal opinion only.

I have a Roof Desmo. It fits great and I love the ease of use. They are European helmets but they also have Roof USA now. Check them out, they kind of look like fighter pilot helmets.

Very comfortable except for the cheek pads. My ˝ helmet is a Shoei St Cruz (not made anymore) & is a medium. Going from the sizing chart on Revzilla, I went with a large in the NeoTec. That was a good choice, but the cheek pads are too thick for my face. I sounded like an idiot when communicating over the CB - try squeezing your cheeks together and saying something like "we need to make a left at the next light" to get an idea. I have to order the thinner pads.

No problem with the speakers on the headset, but my headset is a new J&M unit. The HD set is still in the box.

This helmet does have the internal, retractable sun shield. It worked great, especially for those times I opened either the face shield or the entire chin bar. The sun shield is independent of both.

No real problem with fogging, & it does move a good bit of air when you're in the air stream. Behind a fairing, obviously, not so much. It did get a little warm; some of the temperatures were 90ş or more.
Get the thinner pads, problem will be solved.
As I mentioned earlier, I was between sizes. The closest size had my cheeks pushed in, and a little pressure on my forehead. I went thinner on each pad, now it fits like a glove.
Also, my Neotec would fog up when sitting still, even with all vents open, so I would crack the visor. The answer was to remove the bottom chin wind guard, problem solved. Easy pop on and off. The helmet is so quiet and almost air tight, little tunes should be expected. Rolling along, however, the helmet is good to go.

The sunshield is great as well; you can position it where you want it (a little higher or lower) and push a button to retract.

Haven't had a ton of issues with wind, even at high speeds; HJC manufactures HD helmets and without the HD branding, you save boku bucks. I bought mine through Cycle Gear.
+1 for the HJC IS MAX II. I have the exact same setup with the Sena Headset and it is just great.

+1. Fit is key. With the C3 Pro I went up a size to a large from the medium I normally wear. I have a long oval head shape and the large fit well without any hot spots on the forehead that I had with the medium. Also, we installed the J&M 787 Elite headsets and really like them. It was our Christmas present last year

I agreč with oldphat , Revzilla has some good videos to help you decide.
I have Nolan N104 for me and my wife. I think they fit great and they came with the pin lock inner wind screen so there is no fogging on cold rides. I also bought the B1 Bluetooth that fit the helmets, they are very streamlined with just the buttons on the outside, the battery, mic, and speakers all are custom fit inside the padding. If your just going to talk with your passenger then the B1 is all you need , but if you want to communicate with other bikes then you should get the B4. It has a longer range.
