Try Eastern Performance, got the compensator and the chain adjustor in a kit.

I bought mine directly from Baker, I had already upgraded to the new rotor so I was good.

Well I pulled the trigger and had my dealer replace my very worn stock compensator with the Baker comp. In fact my buddy and I both had it done at the same time, here is where it gets strange, his is quiet as a mouse, mine not so much, in fact it is noisy enough that my dealer is and has pulled it back apart to investigate the reason for the noise, but so far can't justify why one is whisper quiet and the other noisy as hell. You can see my build in my sig, and my buddy is running a new 120ST. I am sure they will figure it out as they have a top notch service department.

My Baker comp/chain gets noisy as hell when it gets really hot. I know my chain is run a little loose because of some quality Harley crank tolerances but at times mine sounds like it's going to come apart. I just put ear plugs in and go. I might switch back to the factory chain tensioner just for fun to see if its mostly chain noise but for now I'm running the Baker adjuster.

Time for an update, dealer pulled the primary cover off to investigate the rattly and somewhat clunky noise we had after installing the Baker comp with screaming eagle manual tensioner. Every thing looked and measured within specs, so put back together and tried again, same noise. Next they pulled it back apart and tried a SE comp, made the same noises. Then pulled apart and put the Baker comp in again and replaced a questionable clutch hub bearing, still made the same noises. We then decided to pull primary cover and start bike to watch, well the top of the chain was jumping up and down and slapping like crazy, and yes they had the tension set correctly. Finally decided to put the original spring loaded auto tensioner back on and chain smoothed out, no more jumping up and down, but you could see the spring loaded tensioner moving up and down absorbing the jumpy chain. Noise gone!

When they first came out with the SE manual tensioner, several people on another HD forum I read, went out and bought it. They figured it was the answer to the auto tensioner over tightening the primary chain.

Every one of them removed the SE manual tensioner because of the noise it made. I took a mental note to avoid that tensioner....

I haven't read about anyone using it lately until your post.

You just reconfirmed what I had read a couple years ago....

Glad you got it figured out........

Just FYI... an HD service tech, who is monitor on that site (I've met the tech and he's actually knowledgeable and squared away.. go figure), says that the new version of the auto tensioner hasn't been causing the problems of the earlier versions. I wish I had saved his post on when they updated the design...

Good to know. I figured that is what my sound is but I hadn't really worried about it much. Might pull it early to make sure its not banging into the primary and causing metal shavings to be swimming around.

Default Rotor part number

Does anybody know what the part number is for the upgraded rotor to fit a '09 RKC? I need the one without the spring cup but cannot find a part number.

Based in the HD instruction sheet, it looks like:
30041-08A
