Pretty close for the 2017 models coming out.. Wait or buy a 2016 slim s ?
I was thinking maybe some changes are coming to the softail line..
I was told by a salesman I know today that the major changes were done with the '16's, so nothing special, other than colors, with the '17's. Take that for what it's worth, though. Even though we know each other, he's still a salesman.
I don't think much of a change is coming with the 17 softails. The new motor and such will be on the touring models first, then trickle down to the rest of the big twins.
When I'm ready to add a bike to the stable, the new engines will be well into the phase of finding things that have issues.
This is my plan as well. So for me it will be around 2018 or 19. OP i think the new engines are going to be on the touring bikes first as mentioned above.
I'm waiting... I simply want to see IF the FXRT Sport Glide happens. If that happens then I'll buy that. IF not I know 2 of my local dealers are still trying to clear out 2015's let alone 2016's. No rush.. take your time & don't let the sales guy push you.
I can't remember where I saw it but it looks like HD MOCO is actually giving out free 110 kits if you buy an "in stock" 2016.
I wouldn't expect to see the new motors or major changes in anything other than the Touring line & then the trickle down to the rest of the line.
Local dealer here still has leftover 2015 bikes. Sad thing is, they haven't backed down on the price of the leftovers. Maybe a couple hundred at the most. Still want outrageous delivery and setup fees on those leftover bikes.
