My 07 SG is currently in the local HD shop to have the Touring pull back handlebars fitted to replace the stock ones..
I was told to expect somewhere in the region of 5 hours labor...... I dropped the bike in yesterday noon for them to start working on it, expecting it finished today. Just been told that it will not be ready until late tomorrow afternoon..that will be some 2 and a half days in the shop.
If the job is taking them that long then the labor bill will be a LOT more than I budgeted for which is beginig to scare me!!..
What do you think is a reasonable time to have this job done? ..
They go by the labor time manual. If they wrote you up for 5 hours of labor, than that is what they charge you. It can take them longer because they may not have had a certain part in stock and had to get it from another dealer quick or they could be working on yours and then have to change a tire for somebody that just came in, etc.
