Cool Flhtcui

I have a quick question. I have been looking all over and cannot find a quick detach kit for a 2002 FLHTCUI Electra Glide Ultra Classic. Every one that I find says that it fits all touring bikes except this one or any FLHT. I am sure that I am missing something and I am sure that this has been discussed before but I just would like some help if possible. I do not have the Tour Pack currently installed. I would actually like to make the Tour Pack quick detach and then have the ability to just have quick detach passenger backrest the rest of the time. Is this possible? Currently, the radio antenna has been relocated to the fairing also. I appreciate any and all help.

I'm pretty sure it's about the wiring harness, the rest of the actual mounting hardware is the same as any other FLH.

It is possible. I have a 2002 ultra with the quick detach, I don't detach it, I use it so I can shift the tour pack back two inches.

It is possible. I set mine up as detachable, 2002 as well. I used all HD parts. I used the kit for the tour pack, raided the CB cable and connections from the 09 and up along with the light harness. I used the brackets for the Street Glide and the kit to mount a CB to an 08 and under touring bike without a tour pack (brackets mount along the side of the fender for the antennae connections). If you do a post search under my name I showed some pics of the install. I might have also included part numbers, I can't remember.

Yes Gunz- the exclusions on the kit are due to your CB antenna- so you'll have to figure out a work-around as described above.

and the FLHT is excluded because they ship without a tourpak.

I don't know if the 02 is different but my 03 has the quick detach kit. The previous owner installed it and just left the CB wire disconnected and zip tied behind the right side cover. I've never hooked up the CB so I don't know if leaving it disconnected would hurt it
