Default Exhaust help.

2010 ultra classic, stock exhaust. First Harley. Need pipes and or mufflers that will let it flow and release the heat from the stock exhaust. A a little louder. I've already searched the forum and didn't see the answer I need. I know for the head pipe the catalyst has to go one way or another. Thanks. KC

Decatted mine. Nice improvement with slash rounds. Cut a foot off the baffles for a little volume. Still quiet but better.

What's the question?
Are you asking what "brand" head pipe / muffler you should run? Million threads on that subject. Second only to "what oil?"

Then you really haven't searched the forums completely enough if you haven't found the answer as this has been answered about a 1,000 times. Type "Stage 1" into the search box in the upper right corner and read all over again.

don't really know what to tell you but... before you take the expensive leap... find some decatted headers and buy Namz AF-XIED-10. Video/audio record the before and after for a comparo.

There's a million threads about this, but before you do anything try going somewhere like a rally and hearing as many different combo's as you can. People are generally happy to talk about what they have and give an opinion one way or the other. When you do a search, instead of the search window on this site use Google and type in hd forums subject matter and you'll get a lot of hits. https://www.google.com/webhp?sourcei...w.hdforums.com

yes, hear pipes in person.
bike night, dealer BBQ etc.

for an intake your best bang for buck is the ness big sicker with chrome backing plate. under $150 on ebay from easternpc

nightrider.com xieds/vieds

ebay decatted header- $150 ( or diy, check threads)

some riders stick with stock mufflers once the cat is gone.

at this point you will gain 7 to 10 HP for under $500

do not expect night and day difference in heat.
you sit on a motor, it'll be hot

thick jeans are better than shorts

welcome to the forums, and enjoy your new ride

Dresser True Duals, Round slash mufflers...no more heat, not overbearing sound, better running bike! That is what I run and I am very happy with the set up - no complaints. Good luck
