We were there on Saturday, as we do every year and they had a great turnout. Tons of riders. Same as every year. We certainly were not disappointed at all....
Never been to the Open House but the factory tour, on a weekday when it is up and running, is well worth the stop. I have done it three times and will likely do it again in the future.
I was there on Thursday,, yes the outside was a little,, lacking. The interior tour,, well got there just as the lunch hit so yes due to a union shop they are down until lunch is over. It is a big difference from the old facility that I visited in 2007. The one item is you got both the steel toe and regular tour all in one.
Have to agree with you.Last year was better. found out from my dealer they were not even invited to come down to have a tent there, the only reason I went was I'm close to York. It is a shame could be so much better
I did have a good day on Saturday at the fairgrounds watching the Flat track races

The Laughermans have retired, the dealer in York is now named 1st Capital HD. They had exclusive rights to be the sole dealer at the Open House and didn't prefer other dealers to be there but weren't quite prepared having only taken over the dealership one month ago. I look forward to the Friday night festivities downtown but other than that it is a disappointment that we don't have a bigger event.

We stopped in at 1st Capital on our way back from Gettysburg, they seemed very nice, but wife was disappointed with a lack of close out apparel. Having only taken over the business a month ago, explains why there was none. I guess you can't sell Laugherman's H-D apparel if it's under new management. Just seems odd to switch over mid riding season JMO
