Greetings....Just pulled the trigger on a new FLHXS. It was bittersweet as I traded in my beloved Breakout....I went back and forth a few days on colors...but decided that the Charcoal denim was for me. Now let the mods begin....first stop most likely stage 1 kit...just not sure which setup I want to go with...any recommendations of course would be nice...Love a crossover idea with duals. Deep and loud is what I am after.
Get you a good set of headers and some CFRs or get the DNA megaphone slipons sound a little better and are a lot cheaper. You will get deep and loud with that setup.
I think you might have a difficult time finding DEEP and loud in a 2-2 exhaust as the 2-1 usually produce the deeper tones. D&D Fat Cat 2-1 with a ghost pipe, pick one of three baffles depending on how loud you want - I went with the medium baffle and very happy with my choice ....
Probably the only color I would trade my bike for. I like the new Olive Gold, but they don't have it for the SGS.
Edit: And I mean all of that to say "Gorgeous bike. Congratulations! The Breakout would be a great second bike, but I'm sure you'll find the miles roll on quickly with the new Street Glide."

Congratulations on your new bike.
I'm considering a SGS but had decided on a softail because I ride in city traffic almost every day. How agile and nimble does the SGS feel compared to the Breakout?
Even though SG is heavier, it feels much more nimble than the BO. I know this, I have had both. SGS= More nimble/ better cornering/ better braking, all around better. The only place you will notice the additional weight is when moving bike around, parking etc.
