I use one that mounts up by the windshield...works great. Lot less vibration than I've had in other spots (except helmet mount...that's been the steadiest so far)
Ebay seller I got mine from: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Go-Pro-Hero-...4879f4&vxp=mtr

I saw one that was mounted to the center screw on the windshield fairing trim. Looked really cool place!

I almost went that route, but decided on the end screw so I could easily turn on and off without reaching over the shield (especially when moving...with the mount on left, can still keep hand on throttle....sound silly, but I had one time camera was off, and some shitbag in front of me started driving like a moron). Also, you can flip camera back so you can view front for that blinking light showing it's recording (or, if you wanted to record yourself riding for some reason, can mount camera facing aft).

A Helmet Mount see the attached, seems to work the best as far as a lack of vibration goes. Also, because you tend to keep your eyes level with the road (or you should anyway), the perspective going around curves when watching the video is more natural and not quite as disconcerting.

Skip around a bit. The video is an hour long (Yawn!) and the road changes significantly along the way. At about 15 the minute mark the road gets fairly twisty as you go up the back side of the San Bernadino Mountains.

How about inside your tourpak. Then when you get to a destination where you are going to do something interesting,(parachuting, extreme downhill mountain biking, winching off a helicopter on a rescue, trammeling down a rock face,heli-skiing),pull it out, strap it to your helmet and show something worth watching.

After I went to my 4th funeral, I started running it all the time, and post the worst up on a page run by a friend. And I figure, if it's time for my ticket to be punched, the evidence to nail the driver should be on tape. Takes plenty of time to fill a 128 Gb card (especially 720p 30fps), and costs nothing to delete all the boring footage. Got me out of a red light ticket too (sat through 3 cycles, my side wouldn't turn green...finally I went, just as a patrol car came into view. brought laptop to hearing, played the entire wait as well as the stop, so they knew it was the same night), so the camera has paid for itself

I use the Jaws Flex Clamp on my handlebars, works perfect and you can swivel it as needed!
