Hello, I just bought an 04 flhrs from a dealer friend, unfortunately don't have alot of history on it. wanted to run the build by you experts and see if you think it could use some tweaking. It seems to run good, but had some light deceleration popping (nowhere near firecracker loud). Plug color is good, no obvious signs of denotation. Cylinder walla still habe good crosshatch.
SE 16927-99 casting heads
SE high comp pistons (not sure exactly which) (I assume 95", but not sure)
SE 257 cam (chain, with brand new tensioners)
SE intake
D&D fat cat 2-1
no PC or tuner that I know of, but our wrench rode it and said it's definitely been tuned
I'm totally new to harleys, so I have no benchmark to compare it to. It does seem surgy-lurchy at parade speed, but that could just be the cam. I'm thinking about getting it on a dyno this winter to get a benchmark, any suggestions on tweaking the build?I rise mostly 1 up with no baggage, so I don't need gobs of low end torque.
