Anyone else get burning in there shoulders (feels like a pinched nerve) from riding. This happens after only about a half hour of riding. I'm 6'5" and think the stock bars might be too short causing this. Any suggestions on bars that will work on FLHX. The HD tallboy bar for electra glides says it won't work with flhx do to fairing mounted mirrors. Anyone have any suggestions on bars?? Thanks, mark
I'm ok with the stock bars but someone in here changed their's out to bring them closer and liked it. Ithought they were aftermarket bars but not sure.

Extended reach bars, HD... 49.00... brings the bar closer to you... I had the same pain in the sholders... stock bars are like a ten speed bike...
You could always go ape. I am 6'1" and weigh 350'ish. I put 18' apes on my rk custom and my pain is gone. They sell a set of 16" that will work with your fairing. And the mirrors can be plugged and relocated to the bars, if you so choose.
I went with the WILD 1's part#0575 2" pull back 1 1/2" thick with internal wiring. Give some relief to the pain you are talking about, but yeah I get it to and the bars didn't make it alot better!!
Riding for more than an hour or so I suffered a lot of pain in my neck/shoulders........I fractured my neck about 15 years ago which doesnt help.
Last long ride took me 2 days and a massage therapist to recover!
Last week my dealership fitted the'Touring pull back handlebar which brings the controls 2 inches closer and means that my shoulders drop down more so is lot more comfortable for me ....I am 6 ft..........
(page 479 in the HD parts book part #55914-98).....
New cables were required.
Took the shop 4 hrs labor plus parts.....total cost just over $600....a lot of money, but I was seriously thinking of trading the SG if I couldnt sort the problem out!!
One problem I found was that the position of the bars obstructed my fairing mirrors...so I removed them and replaced them with the standard bar mirrors (black)..I actualy prefer them to the fairing mirrors....
I also changed the stock SG windscreen for a 9 inch one as I think the wind blast was also a factor in my discomfort......
