Default 2014 Aircleaner?

I picked up a 2014 air cleaner thinking that I could just use the Cover to replace the Football cover on my 2010 big sucker air cleaner. Well as we all know that won't work. If I buy a 2014 Stage 1 air cleaner will that fit the back plate assy of the 2010? Or if I buy a complete 2014 Big sucker assy will that work/bolt onto my intake? Any help is greatly appreciated.

IDK if this helps but I have a complete 2014-15 air cleaner assembly on my 2010, I do not have a stage one done. If the complete assembly fits I would assume the stage 1 air cleaner kit for a 2014-15 would fit as well.

Have the same thing on my 09. I would also assume it should fit. I'm just going to leave mine like it is with the complete stock intake from the 2015, from what I have heard, the 2014 and 2015 Rushmore intake flows 15%-20% more air than previous years.

The pre-14 air cleaners will work on a 14 and vice versa. If going stage 1 with a 14 air cleaner cover it needs to have a backplate compatible and/or specific filter element to make the cover work.

There's a way, the backing plate portion of the stage 1 kit is the same - if you want to run the 14+ cover then a rubber "gasket" of sorts is needed to fill up the gap. We have these at work for the Screamin Eagle Stage 1 kits - I should check and see if they fit the Arlen Ness kits too since I have one on my 2014 - I think it would since AN makes the SE stage 1 kits..

Thanks everyone for the input it is appreciated. I will start with just the filter and hope it will fit the 2010 back plate.

WRONG MOVE..
You have the 2014 Backing plate correct?
It is proven to have much better flow characteristics to the previous negating the need to install a BigSucker or equivalent. It is essentially a Stage I upgrade. Just install it along with the rest of it.

Here's a shot of the 2014 AN Big Sucker for a 2014 next to the 2014 conversion filter, diameter is the same - hole spacing has to be the same since the throttle body hasn't changed.

That is precisely what I have installed on my 2010. Just make sure you order the proper stage one kit (the one with the gasket, spacer, and longer bolt) and you're good to go.

A good point about the longer bolt - I had some brake rotor bolts laying around and it fit just right - now mine comes off with a torx bit but you can get longer ones at many hardware stores that sell chrome hardware
