That's what I was saying from 2000-2001 there is no manufacture for that filter, once everyone is out of that filter. The local Harley dealership wants to get some, I found the kit in New York and it is on its way as I type. The filter in my 2000 Flhtci has never had an issue, but I don't think anything inside the tank has been looked at since new and seeing the body man can get the dings and dents out from the inside of the tank easier, I figured go with new filter, hoses, clamps, check valves, gasket, screws, preventative maintenance, doing it if there is an issue, with newly laid paint would suck!
First find the correct part number with all revisions
Then have your dealer see if they have it, if no, can it be ordered, if no.
Ask the dealer to go on HD net and print you out a list of all dealers that have that part number in stock. (Yes they can do this)
Call the dealer and see if the part is in stock, if yes buy it. If no, go to next dealer on list. If its obsolete you best buy 2 in case you need a 2nd one down the road
Ive found many parts this way. Sometimes its the only way to get them
This truly does suck. I have my 2000 Ultra Classic FI apart for total repaint. I guess I'll just cross my fingers and run the old filter. I'll replace the lines, crusty zip ties, screws and gasket and move on. Sure wish there was a aftermarket filter for 61343-00

Well, there is. Really surprised nobody thought of K&N.
