Hi, I am looking at upgrading the front suspension at the same time I put some Ohlins on the back. Looking for some feedback on the Ohlins fkc 101s. Currently I am waffling between progressive monotubes and the Ohlins. Both are within my budget, just want to know if the Ohlins are worth the addional cost.
Thanks.

The Ohlins are over 2x the cost of the Progressives. I doubt they're 2x as good. They have no adjustments for tuning, require spring swaps and factory rebuilds for the valve stacks.
The new HD monotubes you mentioned, are these them and are you liking them? The Premium Ride Double Cartridge Fork Kit
For 2009-2013 Touring models (except Trike models) is a standard-height, high-performance suspension with superior ride quality that complements the Premium Ride Hand-Adjustable Rear Shocks (Low-Profile and Standard ride height). The Double Cartridge Fork Kit replaces the Original Equipment front suspension to improve resistance to front brake dive, improve cornering and enhance bottoming control. The kit includes fork pipes, cartridges, fork bolts, main springs and oil seals.
MSRP: $429.95
Having experience with Ohlins and Penske products over the years, Setting up sport bikes for track days. I can say that if you have the money for the Ohlins get it. You will not be disappointed. It is a premium product that comes with a premium price. Not that the other products are bad at all. But the refinement is not there in the other products. Rather like the difference between a Rolex and a Timex. They both tell the time just fine. But...
Monotubes are junk, couldnt get them off fast enough. I have the 6s on the rear and will do the FKCs on the front. Remember you get what you pay for saying is true.
I have a set of Ohlins FKC101s, which I am installing in my old Glide. They are 25mm diameter cartridges designed for use in our older 41mm forks and differ from the more exotic fully adjustable 30mm models, that are available for those of us with 49mm forks. The FKC are not adjustable and at purchase will be supplied with springs matched to your weight, after which they are fit and forget.
I have Ohlins #3-3 shocks and now that the FKCs are finally available (they were announced about 18 months ago) am looking forward to enjoying the delights of Ohlins at both ends!
There is not much on HDF about them yet, but use Search for 'FKC101' in this Touring forum and you will find 11 threads referring to them.
