I'm planning on buying an '07 RK very soon and will be adding the Stage 1 A/C some slip on mufflers and either a ECM remap or aftermarket module. My question is in regards to the baffles in the slip on mufflers. Will the sound of the bike get louder as the baffles size increases or is it vice versa? (i.e is 2.5" baffle louder than 1.75"?)
Hello all,
Will the sound of the bike get louder as the baffles size increases (i.e is 2.5" baffle louder than 1.75"?)
Yes, I have the Rush 1.75's on my RoadGlide and they are the quiet ones, or so they say. Can't imagine I'd be able to hear the tunes going 70+ on the highway with the 2.50's.

I have had many big twin HD's over years and the 07 FLHRC is without a doubt the finest bike HD has ever offered and I have had ZERO issues with it. I would buy another in a flash without any concerns.
Do they run lean out of the box??? Yes.
Can you fix it with a PCIII, A/C and slip ons??? Yes.
Will you enjoy the crap out of it??? Yes.
And Rush mufflers rock...I wouldn't go any bigger than 2.0 unless you really hate your neighbors

How do you like the Rush slip on's ?
I have the 1.75's on V&H True Duals. Yeah i know not the best pipes for the most HP and TQ but it really doessounds great, likea small block Chevy, and yesI'm very happy with them.
I hate one of 'my' neighbors. That is why I put on sampson drag fishtails. Loud as all heck. Don't have a radio, so no problem there. Have been told mine sound like 'glass packs', if any of ya'll remember what those sound like. My neighbor shouldn't have rolled his eyes and complained about the 'noise' of a Harley BEFORE I even got my bike. I get off work at like 2am, and make it a point to rev a bit passing his house.Besides, all of them mow there darn lawns early in the am and the wife and I both work nights. Revenge is SWEET. lol
