Default Repacking mufflers

Bought a used set of S/E touring mufflers from a buddy and put them on the other day. Sound very nice, deep rumble.

But I would like to remove the baffles and replace the packing. I had one baffle out just to inspect it and noticed the packing was kind of coming apart.

So does anybody know where I can get a repacking kit?

at the moving store , they carry all kinds of packing supplies
Just Kidding and couldn't resist.
well depends on the area you live in. i would start with the local harley dealer and ask them. if they give you the deer in the headlights look. you could look around your area in the yellow pages for a aftermarket harley supplier, go to a rice gridner shop. some of the foriegn bikes have removable baffles and packing is needed for them. if all else fails you should be able to purchase from Dennis Kirk or JP cycles on line.

I use the Moose muffler packing. I get it at the Honda Superstore
A $6.00 package will do one muffler.

Rinehart tech support told me to use fiberglass sheet repair material, which I bought at Ace Hardware -- Bondo brand. Just wrapped two sheets around each baffle and secured with stainless wire. Works great.

I repacked mine a couple of years ago and used stainless steel wool. Works great, sounds great, lasts way longer than fiberglass.

Wellstroked, that's what I wanted to do with mine but couldn't find the steel wool except in pads. Where did you get your wool and how did you attach it?

I repacked mine, it was easy. Bought some Header Wrap, like the hot rods, wrapped the baffle very tight then braced it with the metal clamps the wrap comes with. then used insallation around it and put it back in, sounds awesome and easy.
