Dealer installed Digital/Analog type (70900072) and it went belly up last night - get the red idiot light but nothing else - no OD - no Tack - no dash lights no speedo.
So I check for voltage etc and everything is good the the speedo plug - So must be the speedo which by the way was getting moisture under the glass the last few weeks..
New speedo (70900072a) followed instructions and it will not download from the data port hookup....it lights up but gives No speed and V error in the window...
Instruction are pretty clear and the trouble shooting guide didn't help - Only thing I can think of is the old speedo is dead and the new is trying to read it and can't.

Any suggestions?
Jerry
Dry your old speedo out really well with a hair dryer, it might start to work again.
4) Wasn't sure if the old speedo and ecm had to work together for the download.
Was thinking an ecm problem but bike runs like a 'Top'.
Will attach the analyzer to the data port and see if I see any codes pop up.
Also emailed the MFG in Switzerland but haven't heard back due to the 6 hr time difference. Local HD tech never had a issue but hasn't done to many....
