I ran the Stabo front motor mount and it lasted 20,000 miles before I found that it had laterally sheared. (Took the top 1/2" off.) I went back to the original oem circa 1980's.
So when the time came for the swingarm, I went with these Nylatron swingarm bushings (from V-Twin,) and with minimal increase in vibration, the rear end is now tight in the corners. The smaller swingarm block 'stiffys' in the pic vibrated the bars and pegs more than I liked so I removed them, now running just the two larger bushings.
Sounds good,, i am also a bit suprised that i had a pretty large slakk i the org svingarm bearings after only 25000 miles.
The bushings in the swingarm are not the bearings that sta Bo sells as replacement. The stock HD bushings wear out in as little as 10k miles. The greater the wear the greater the rear steer.
Kevin's replacement are actual roller bearings which will not wear out for a while, ( ie a really long time). So, they seem to be a better replacement. Mine have been in approx 40k miles and are showing no signs of wear.
When I updated my swingarm, I lived about 5 miles from sta bo and Kevin the owner actually help me set up my swingarm he's a great guy, call and talk with him about the product, you can't go wrong with his guidenance.
