My wife bought me a craftsman red motorcyle lift for my streetglide. Jack wont fit unless i lift it straight up. Is this normal or are there jacks you can rool right under?
My K&L lift will roll right under both my RK and my Softail. I also have a yellow Craftsman lift that fits as well. Your Street Glide sits about an inch lower however so you may be stuck standing your bike up in order to get a lift under it.
Have a SGS with the stock 12" shock.
Generally have to lift the bike up on the Jiffy Stand to get a jack under it.
Most times using a 2x6 under the jiffy stand makes it easier.
As BB59 pointed out, a Street Glide sits lower than standard FLH ( for instance, a Road King). My Craftsman jack JUST went under my King, so you should expect to straighten up the bike to get the jack under.
Had that lift for my Sporty and gave it to the guy I sold the bike to. I would line the lift up against the underside then pull on the handle bar as I slid it under always from the right hand side. I wasn't confident enough in the lift to use it for my RGS. The rubber pads came free and slide easily on the rails. Maybe nonskid tape would be better? A lot of parts loosened and the Jack had a bad fade to it. It would lower until it hit the stops which never really line up well to begin with. It never was able to get it to bleed enough to stop fading.

I posted a thread on how to modify it to work a year or two ago. I bought smaller front wheels and shaved the pads down and it slides right under now and works great. Good luck

I think my 2006 Road King sits at 5.1" clearance. All lifts I looked at were that to lowest of 4 3/4" minimum. Finally found a Titan lift from J&P cycle that sits at 2 1/2" lowered. Since I was going to lower front 1" I bought that one. I think a member on here says he rolls his front wheel onto a board which gets his lowered bike high enough to get his lift under. May help?
