Every time someone brags about how their bike is faster than mine, I give them all the very same answer......."I don't care." Works for me. If people want a "fast" motorcycle, they bought the wrong bike.
Its not that I care, I wanted to make sure $1800 in stage 1 parts wasn't a waste. I knew 14 had different cams and didn't think torque was much difference, 5ftlb. On the bright side, mine sounds a lot better,,,losing
I believe '14 was the year the factory cam was changed to deliver more low end pull as part of the Rushmore program. The mods weren't just for the Steaming Eagles.
These bikes (14s) are way better stock than the older models. I rode one and could easily feel the performance difference.
I have a friend with a 2014 Limited bone stock and I have a 2013 Limited with decatted headpipe, slipons, AC, and PowerCommander 5. I can't tell any difference in the performance of the two. We appear to appear to be just about equally powered. We don't race or anything, this is just based on riding many, many miles together under all kinds of conditions.
The dyno runs I have seen indicate that the Rushmore stock has just about the same power as the regular 103 with stage 1.
