Default Primary Gearing

OK, I'm sure it has been addressed before but I'm tired of searching. I'm trying to get a 2004 FLHR primary gearing from the original 1.44 ratio (25/36) to 1.54 (24/37). I am under the impression that the parts are available from Harley and seems to consist of comp sprocket and clutch basket, but I can't come up with part numbers. Anybody know, FOR SURE? Thanks!

It would be interesting to know why you want to make that change and what your ambition is. The compensator is straight-forward, however the 36/37 involves changing the clutch sprocket, which is darned expensive! There are other ways of changing overall gearing.

The 24T and 37T are stock early Evo, while 25T and 36T are stock late Evo and TC88. You can get part numbers from any of the on-line parts websites, like this one.

Just for future reference, It1-xjs, what is the application for that clutch basket?

37846-99A clutch basket has the 37 tooth sprocket, early fuel injected baggers used the 24-37 primary sprockets. You can use your stock primary chsin.

Interesting! I'm installing a DD6 in my Evo and also altering the overall gearing. Baker recommend a 28T compensator, but I'm using a 27T, also a 30T front pulley. Waiting for a new shorter belt to continue the build. I'll end up with a slightly lower 1st, but still have a highway top gear.

Curious, and sort of off topic - does any of this mess with your speedo/odo?
