Default xm signal

for the past week I have not been getting a good signal with the RoadyXT, before I pull the outer fairing off and check the antenna that I placed on top of the radio, I thought I would ask if anyone else is having reception problems.

Nope, I've got the Zumo with the XM NavTraffic, and the radio reception has been fine.

Don't have xm on my bike( I run an IPOD instead), but I did put in a Tune-trapper hidden antenna in the fairing, and if I remember correctly you're not supposed to mount/attach any antenna to the radio housing itself as it will cause interference and kill your signal...try moving the antenna around with the fairing off and the sat. radio on...can't hurt.

Reception gets worse under the trees when the leaves come out in spring. Could that be part of your problem?

i have my sirius antenna mounted under the fairing on top of the radio. was losing audio and thought maybe i had a problem with the signal and the fairing. turned out it was a bad conncection between the sat radio and the cradle. replaced them and it works great. no problem with losing the signal. course, if you're under an underpass, trees, etc you lose the signal, but that's the problem with sat radios.

I am having no issues with the XM signal.....constantly 3 bars. In fact, the quality of the sound has improved greatly.

I didn't have much luck with the antenna on the inside of the fairing (we are talking about the little XM antenna that looks like a small computer mouse right?). I mounted it with velcro right on top of the fairing behind the windshield, works great!
