Radial tires

Anyone know how come we don't run radial tires on the HD. Maybe we would get some better tire mileage from them. Lets move into the 2nd millennium.

Purp, I run the Metzler 160-60-18 radial on the back of my 04 Fatboy and I love it but I did not get any better mileage from it. You can not run radials on the front and on the back of a Harley or you will find your bike is squirlie and wont track right. Radials on the back only!

The 2007 Screamin Eagle King's got radials front and rear. 18 on the front and a 17 on the rear. Think the 2007 Fatboys are running radials too.

That rule is for mixing on the same axle on a 4+ wheeled vehicle.

HD mixes radials and bias tires. Bikes like the Softail Standard with the wide tire on the back have a radial in the back and a bias in the front.
