C&C Seats Click Bait
I have had people say that it reminds them of Garfield the Cat though. As mentioned, I'm not looking for C&C to reimburse anything, just trying to find another idea so the design lasts longer. We talked about leather enlays as well but I don't think the design would come out as nice and I was concerned that the larger seams would be uncomfortable. I don't want to loose the design on the bike though, so I have some ideas to refresh my faded my inner fairing with some air brush work.
I wish I was near Igor to see his place. I do follow on Facebook and his website. Glad too see an artist keeping busy but I guess good work will do that.

Or maybe not.
1) The seat is softer and wider and I think for what I am looking for, it MAY work. The seat is more comfortable but it's not as long as the C&C Seat is. With the C&C seat, I can move forward and back on the seat a bit and adjust my pressure points and riding position. On the Harley seat, it's pretty much one position with only slight variations. But as I said, the seat is softer, so maybe I don't have to move around as much on the long rides.
2) I tend to ride slouched but with the new seat, It kind of forces me a bit more upright. It's not uncomfortable but because of my short windscreen, my head is a bit more in the air stream than it once was. It's really having an affect of trying to smoke cigars when I ride though. There is a bit more turbulence at my face and it's destroying my smokes when I'm over 65mph... get over 85mph and the cigar just disintegrates.
2) My first day riding on the new seat, my low speed skills sucked. When inching forward with traffic at a stop sign, I was moving my handlebars around quite a bit. It's gotten better since... but I'm still not at the same level that I was. I think that because the C&C is a more firm seat, I could feel how the bike responded right away to adjustments. I feel now that I am behind what the bike is doing instead of being part of the bike. If that makes sense. But I believe this is just a familiarity thing, and it will pass soon.
I have a ride this weekend that will put a couple of hundred miles on the seat that will include mostly freeway miles, some tight twisties and some high speed bursts. I should have a real good feeling for this seat by Sunday night.
