RK Classic saddlebags
Hi Guys, looking at the leather hard bags on my RK and I think they look a bit bland, I dont want to go to painted hard bags so question is, anyone done anything to tart their bags?

Here's my '53 bags- these were a premium option back when new
The studs etc are all original as is the (formerly) white fringe and white piping.
The best part is the original bags have the H-D winged Shield logo embossed on the front of the lid
Maybe this'll give you an idea

I polished mine with Kiwi Boot Polish earlier this year, well pleased.

Probably not much can be done. HD sells those chrome strips that go on top of the lids. Personally I don't like the strips. They don't do much at all and they're $$$. You might consider the chrome bag guards.

Thanks for the info and pics guys, food for thought indeed, those Iron bags are great but wow, what a price. I may look into maybe getting hold of some chrome studs and put them on myself. Thanks again.
