They just let you ride around on your own? Geeze, when I took a test ride outa the Richmond, VA store, the sales guy rode with me and then it was only about 1 mile around the country block. Never got over 45 with the bike.
Thing felt very top heavy to me, but then, I've been riding with a car tire on my 06RG for the past year. The novelty of the screen will wear off in a few weeks and then should cost an arm and a leg to repair later on down the road. The rest of the features are pretty good, i.e. easier to open glove boxes in the fairing, easy open saddle bags, air gates in the fairing, tour pack lid changes. The motor is a quite a bit weaker than my 107 motor, but then, it will probably last a lot longer than mine too. I felt the seat really pushed me up and forward compared to my solo Corbin. I would also put some freeway pegs on it and loose the floorboards for some forward controls like I have now. Grips would have to go too. A car tire would find its way up into the rear wheel well and I would strip the passenger pegs off when my solo seat arrives.
Stumbled into some money I forgot about, a 401K so was going to borrow from myself. Soon going to get the IRS off my back so as soon as that happens I will be serious about getting a new bike. And after having my Road King in rebuild for a year and a half I never want to be without a 2nd bike again.
Thanks and will keep both of these thoughts in mind. Have a couple other favorite dealers I like and have heard Stone Mountain dealer in Ga has really good prices. Not going to be too hasty, just really impressed at how comfortable this bike was with much improved handlebars. Shoot, they even finally got rid of the screen door hinges on the tour pack and like said, beats my 05 by a long shot.
He said he was going to borrow from the 401k, not cash it out. Many brokerages allow you to borrow up to 50% of the value of your 401k at very low interest rates, and the interest gets paid to your own account, so you profit on your interest. Theres no tax implications to doing this.
Don't let anyone on a forum dictate how you spend YOUR money. Frankly, I wouldn't even have posted for people's opinions but keep in mind.... Opinions are like a$$holes, everyone has one and they usually stink!
.......do NOT, under any circumstances whatsoever, cash out a 401K to buy anything.
......... i think he referenced borrowing against it, which is just this side of taking it out.

The 2016 RGU is a great ride Traded my 2013 RGU for one August 28th. just over 4000 miles on it now winter has set in here. It is paid for.
Nothing against my past RGU's the 2106 is better. If it won't break the bank , take food off the table make the deal .
The 2016 RGU is not just another repeat of another year it is a different bike all around and it is all good. handles like a dream

This is advice from a man who's seen the darker side of financial problems, Don't borrow against 401's. Don't borrow against the house, don't borrow if at all possible. Don't screw with the IRS (they always win) and don't borrow or test ride a bike that's not yours. Yes life is short, but if it is a little longer than just today, tomorrow you will pay and can loose everything!!!!
After I buried my 38 year old wife to cancer, I don't give a crap about money.
Unless you got some guarantee you'll collect it.
Life is short, play hard.
My 16 RGU is the best damn Harley I've ever ridden.
I read the other replies and this is the only one that warrants further discussion. So very sorry for your loss brother. A pill none of us ever wish to swallow and my heartfelt condolences, truly. Shoot, makes me sort of lose track of my thread issue completely....
Yep, ya only live once here on earth and as much as I am looking forward to getting there, don't think there are any Harley's in heaven.
I am at this point just going to drop it at that. Somebody else will dig it out of the boneyard and I will likely reply but out of respect to you and your wife, God bless.
